You speak of kindness, pure and true,
A virtue we all should pursue.
But kindness, it can choose its way,
In wisdom’s light and life’s array.
In retrospect, I gave my heart,
A chunk of soul, a precious part,
Yet the kindness that I sought,
In return, it was never brought.
Injustice lingers, a bitter weight,
A truth of life, a heavy freight,
We bear it all, as time goes by,
With strength to face the tears we cry.
To the loneliness that you feelĀ
Is just a play
The facing
Is what you are scaredĀ
But once it comes you light your way
Because it’s all feeling this way
